Rockclimbing.com and I have a strange relationship. I find about 99% of the site to be a waste of time, the other 1% to be fun and useful. To be honest, I am not sure why I bother, but every now and then, something on the site happens, and I get new energy for putting up with the BS.
Over the years, the positive side of the website has helped me source information, most of it in the form of private messages from people who register but choose to just lurk. These hidden users on the site can be quite useful with sharing reliable and useful information. About 99% of my post reminds me why they are smart to lurk.
I've met several climbers via this site. Most are climbers passing through Asia on some business or vacation trip. They contact me looking for info. IN most cases, I offer use of my guestroom, some actually show up on my doorstep and stay/climb for awhile.
Over the last couple months, I've had afew guest crash in my wife and I guestroom. Anyways, here are a few pictures fromlast weekend on the cliff. Nick was passing through Indonesia, stayed a few days and climb a couple of them.
